FEAM AERO Proudly Celebrates 30 Years of Providing Exceptional Service in Aircraft Maintenance

FEAM Aero announces their 30th Anniversary, marking the occasion with an official proclamation from the Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners. Danielle Levine Cava, Mayor of Miami-Dade County, Chairman Jose Diaz, and the members of the Board of County Commissioners have proclaimed Thursday, September 22, 2022 as 30th Anniversary of FEAM Aero Day.

Founded by Fred Murphy, the humble beginnings of FEAM were established at Los Angeles International Airport [LAX] in 1992. The company later moved to Miami, FL. Shortly thereafter, the family-owned organization expanded to Dallas/Fort Worth International [DFW], increasing to three locations in 1999, and gained an additional three by 2005. Awarded Singapore Airlines MRO of the Year in 2007, FEAM continued to establish itself as a pioneer in the aerospace industry, attaining even more awards through 2016.

When the world was introduced to the devastating imposition of COVID-19, FEAM had already successfully expanded into 13 international airports, reached an impressive team of 1,000 FEAM Team members, and opened their first hangar at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport [CVG}, a skyrocketing cargo hub, in 2020.

While many companies struggled to survive through the pandemic, FEAM fortunately continued to expand their reach both domestically and internationally with the acquisition of BOSA in 2021, a globally approved aircraft maintenance provider that services all Boeing and Airbus fleet types across the UK and Europe. This expansion was swiftly followed by a second European acquisition, this time of Northern Aerotech, a pivotal partnership with expanded international reach.

FEAM’s global footprint has allowed the veteran-operated MRO to evolve from two-men and a truck to an enterprise of 1,500 FEAM Team members, and continues to grow as they launched a recruitment initiative in 2021, inviting hundreds to apply to the FEAM Team as new Aircraft Technicians with a generous benefits package and bonus incentive.

“What makes me most proud,” explains CEO Fred Murphy, “is to see our core values come to life everyday through the efforts and the dedication of the FEAM Team. When we stick closely to those principles, and achieve success together, that is the most fulfilling experience that I can have as a leader in this company. I am extremely proud of the work that we have accomplished over the last 30 years, and I know that we are just getting started. It is the shared vision of our leadership, clients, partners, and the FEAM Team that drives our organization. FEAM’s future is bright, and we are so excited for what’s yet to come.”

An emphasis on Quality & Safety, Family, Relentlessness, Lifelong-Learning, and Altruism are the foundation and core values of FEAM Aero that speak to its prosperous achievements. FEAM Aero graciously acknowledges the hard work of the entire FEAM Team and anticipates overall continued success.
